I know that the prices and quality of fountain pens vary ranging from cheap ($5), average ($25) to very expensive (hundreds). But I didn’t want to splurge on a fountain pen until I really liked using one. For years, I’d just admire people’s writing using fountain pens on Instagram and blogs. One of the most popular fountain pens I’ve seen around is the Lamy ($25-$60).
I originally bought these brush pens to do some lettering on Christmas cards. Being a total newbie at lettering, I decided that brush pens were probably easier to use than using ink or watercolor paint. From what I can tell, these brush pens are really well made. Easy to write with, even for a newbie at lettering.
I loved collecting sticker when I was younger, but never used them because I thought they were too pretty (not sure if any of you can relate?). So when I saw people using washi tapes (which was new to me) in their bullet journals. I couldn’t help but buy a few myself. This time to actually use them and not just let them sit in a drawer somewhere.
Since getting into bullet journaling I’ve been looking for different ways to decorate the pages because I find that I don’t always have the time to draw or decorate the pages in advance. I usually like minimal and clean designs but thought using washi tapes would be a easy way to add some color and interest.
I received this set of Uni Jetstream color ballpoint 0.5mm pens as a gift during the holidays and I couldn’t wait to try them out! I wrote a review on the Uni Jetstream Standard Ballpoint Pen 0.38mm a while back saying it was one of my “go-to” pens. But they came in the standard: blue, black and red colors and I wasn’t aware of them coming in any other colors. So I was really surprised to see these pens and hoped that it was as good as the other Uni Jetstream pens.
