The Zebra Mildliner is probably one of the must have items for bullet journaling or note-taking. I’ve been using them for a year now, and I found out about them from bullet journaling community. But they are really great for notes and drawing as well.
ZEBRA Mildliner 5-Color Set
The name of these highlighters says it all. The colors are “mild”, unlike the fluorescent, neon colors of the traditional highlighters. Despite the colors, they still work well as highlighters and I’ve seen many posts online of them used in notes.
The dual-ended tips makes it that much more versatile, the wide flat tip can be used as a highlighter and for lettering. While the thin tip side can be used for underlining notes and drawing. I actually bought the full set, I think there are 3 collections. But for this post, I am just showcasing my favorite one.
My Favorite Set
This set of Mildliner is my favorite is because I find it easy to use every single color in this pack. They have slightly more “neutral” tones, and not as dark or light as the other 2 sets. Every color works well as a highlighter, for underlining or drawing. Which I find the other 2 sets slightly lacking, for example, the darker set does not show the writing very well if you use it as a highlighter. And the lighter set seems like it can only be used as a highlighter. Since it has the slightly neon and fluorescent tones.
If you are looking for versatility and don’t really have a need to buy all three sets. I think this is the one that you want to invest in.
As of writing this there is a new set of mildliners. I have not tried this out myself, but the colors are: Cyan blue, Apricot, Dark gray, lemon yellow, and coral pink. So it sounds like it is a set of colors between the “neutral” set and the dark set. If you have tried this set out please let me know and leave a comment below!
