I loved collecting sticker when I was younger, but never used them because I thought they were too pretty (not sure if any of you can relate?). So when I saw people using washi tapes (which was new to me) in their bullet journals. I couldn’t help but buy a few myself. This time to actually use them and not just let them sit in a drawer somewhere.
Dailylike Washi Tape Swatches
These washi tapes have the same problem with covering mistakes and usage like the gold Mudder Washi Tapes I purchased previously. Besides the “Apple Farm” washi tape, the rest are just too transparent to cover any writing mistakes. So I use them as decoration instead, my favorite one to use is “Cactus”.
For my next set I am going to try and find some more opaque or one color washi tapes. Possibly this set from Amazon: mt Washi Tape Collection (pictured below). If you know any good washi tapes for writing on and covering mistakes please let me know in the comments!
Washi Tape Ideas
I really need to learn how to use washi tapes in different ways to decorate my bullet journal, household and stationery items. I’ve seen some cute ideas, such as using washi tapes for making little flags that you can put on top of cupcakes. Here are some crafting ideas from BuzzFeed: 56 Adorable Ways To Decorate With Washi Tape. Although, I would not recommend using washi tapes on expensive or large items in some of the tutorials. Because depending on the quality of the washi tape. You never know if the adhesive will melt under the sun and make it a mess for you to remove in the future.
I have only been using wash tapes in journals or taping photos so I have not experienced how the tapes would react under the sun. Let me know in the comments if you have used washi tapes in larger projects and the results!
